PARR Metal is looking for a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team. This is a hands-on shop role focused on welding, fabricating, and building steel components. We are looking for someone reliable, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in a busy fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication on steel parts, brackets, frames, and custom components.
  • Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and basic blueprints.
  • Fit, tack, weld, and finish parts with clean, accurate workmanship.
  • Lay out, cut, form, and assemble materials using standard fabrication tools.
  • Use measuring tools to confirm dimensions and tolerances.
  • Operate shop equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, torches, and welders.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Assist with general shop maintenance and other tasks that support the department.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Three or more years of welding and fabrication experience.
  • Ability to weld using MIG. TIG experience is an asset.
  • Strong fabrication skills including layout, cutting, forming, and fit‑up.
  • Ability to read drawings and understand measurements.
  • Experience working with heavy steel components.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
  • Must have basic hand tools and toolbox as per company policy.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday, with overtime as required.
  • Work performed in a fabrication shop with occasional off‑site work.
  • PPE such as safety glasses and steel‑toed boots required at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
