Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spanish-speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care to clients in a home or assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and experienced in senior care, assisting individuals with disabilities, and supporting those with dementia. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by delivering personalized care with respect and empathy. The position involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support for seniors or individuals with disabilities
  • Assist with medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
  • Support clients with activities of daily living such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Monitor and report changes in health status or behavior to supervisors or healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or concerns
  • Foster a respectful, caring environment that promotes independence and dignity for clients

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred
  • Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus
  • Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and personal support services is beneficial
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with clients and their families
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and patience for working with diverse populations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
