Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mandarin Speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to clients in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings, with a focus on seniors and individuals with disabilities. Fluency in Mandarin is essential to effectively communicate and build trust with our diverse client base. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing assistance with daily activities and health management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans and safety protocols
  • Support clients with dementia or cognitive impairments through personalized care strategies
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere
  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members

Experience

  • Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
  • Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly valued
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and caregiving best practices is advantageous
  • Previous roles involving caregiving, home support, or personal assistance will be considered an asset
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
