Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Wood-Fired Oven Pizza Cook/Operator to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas using traditional wood-fired ovens, ensuring exceptional taste and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and food safety standards, with a focus on delivering a fine dining experience in a vibrant restaurant environment. Duties

  • Operate and maintain wood-fired pizza ovens to ensure optimal cooking conditions
  • Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and ingredients according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • Monitor cooking times and oven temperatures to produce perfectly cooked pizzas
  • Ensure all food handling practices adhere to food safety standards and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and guest satisfaction
  • Assist in food preparation for other menu items as needed, supporting overall kitchen operations
  • Follow proper knife skills for ingredient preparation and ensure efficient meal assembly

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting, particularly with pizza or wood-fired cooking preferred
  • Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
  • Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and fine dining service highly desirable
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes quality presentation and customer satisfaction

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
