Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Compliance Coordinator with a passion for supporting a service operations team and applying an education in engineering in a hands-on and practical environment

On a typical day you will:

  • Support service operations team with collection of data from job sites and subsequently preparing submissions to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for approval

  • Work alongside OTIS P-Eng Submission Engineer in responding to AHJ's questions and concerns regarding products code compliance

  • Manage submission backlog review process to reduce the registration timeline and number of rush submissions

  • Coordinate various reports for compliance, data analytics and project management

  • Assist supervisors with directing, supervising and leading the performance of the field operations team as required

  • Assist with ordering parts as applicable

  • Develop an understanding of and assist in maintaining our safety program

  • Support scheduling & route control for local field operations

  • Perform site field visits alongside superintendents

What you will need to be successful:

Education / Certifications:

  • Post secondary degree, required - A University Degree in Engineering, or related technical program, highly recommended.

Basic Qualifications:

  •  A University Degree in Engineering or 3+ years of experience in dealing with safety codes.

  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers

  • Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment

  • Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities

  • Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software

  • Strong leadership skills, goal-orientated, and good decision-making skills with strong time management and organizational skills

  • A valid driver's license and a car are necessary
