Position: Field Service Technician

Vanko is actively recruiting a Field Service Technician for our Edmonton Office. Vanko has been servicing Canada's industry base for over 30 years. Description:

The position of Field Service Technician will report directly to the Service Manager. Applicants should expect to travel throughout Canada. Travel will be a split of 50-70% of your time mainly Monday thru Friday with the occasional weekend required. Primary focus of the position is to service the product lines that we sell. This includes start-up and commissioning support, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and continued support after sales. When not on the road, you will also be responsible for product technical phone support, system integration shop work and in house product repairs among other things.

This position requires excellent communication skills, and troubleshooting abilities as well as the need to be highly organized with an emphasis on attention to detail. You should have a mechanical aptitude and be proficient with the use of tools. You should have education in the Instrumentation Field. Industrial Electrical experience may also be considered as an alternative. Strong computer skills is a definite asset with knowledge in various communication protocols, networking, control systems, PLCs, etc. You should have a flexible schedule with the ability to mobilize on short notice. Various experience levels are being considered at this point.

Competitive salary based on experience, above competitive journeyman rates with commission, overtime and travel.
