About the Role:
BESCUTTER is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our growing team in Cambridge, Ontario. In this role, you will be the primary technical contact for our customers, providing exceptional support for laser systems both on-site and remotely. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our high-precision laser equipment across Canada and the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main technical contact for customers via phone, email, and on-site visits.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in laser systems.
- Schedule and manage service requests, ensuring timely and effective follow-up.
- Perform on-site installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Maintain detailed service documentation, including reports and expenses.
- Provide customer training on machine operation and maintenance.
- Coordinate parts replacement with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
- Identify and report potential safety concerns related to equipment use.
- Travel regularly within Canada and to the United States to support customers.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience with industrial or laser machinery (preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid U.S. visa (required) to support customers and attend training across borders.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
