We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Garage Door Technician / Installer (Lead Hand) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, trustworthy self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You bring exceptional customer service, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lead by example in the field.

A Day in the Life of a Commercial Lead Hand

Each day brings variety and challenge as you:

  • Install, service, and repair commercial overhead doors, openers, and barrier gates
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Lead by example—supporting and mentoring technicians while maintaining high quality and safety standards
  • Perform daily duties safely and efficiently, including work at heights and physical tasks
  • Conduct site assessments and ensure documentation is accurate and complete
  • Participate in an emergency service rotation as required
  • Deliver excellent customer service on every call

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as an Overhead Door Technician
  • Comfort and experience with electrical work
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform duties without physical limitations
  • Experience with electric openers and barrier gates
  • Safe driver's abstract and clean criminal record
  • Professional demeanor and attention to detail in documentation
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work on an emergency rotation
  • Commitment to teamwork, learning, and customer satisfaction

  • Schedule: 8-hour shift, with overtime opportunities
  • Compensation: $75,000-$100,000 annually
  • Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay
