Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team, responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and functionality of our outdoor and indoor facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and landscaping tasks to maintain a safe, attractive, and operational environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical work, landscaping, and construction-related tasks, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across the facility, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for landscaping or construction projects
  • Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
  • Conduct gardening and horticultural activities, including planting, pruning, and lawn care
  • Assist with landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming, and planting
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various repair and maintenance projects
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues or safety hazards
  • Support construction or renovation projects as needed, including material handling and site preparation
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and report any major repairs or safety concerns

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating excavators and other heavy machinery
  • Experience with irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to building systems and equipment repairs
  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of general maintenance practices within construction or outdoor environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and implement effective solutions
  • Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
