Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our food service operation, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food preparation and transactions. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the food industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using the POS system, including Micros POS.
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
  • Monitor food safety practices during food preparation and serving to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during peak hours.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is prefered but not required
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons.
  • Experience with cashiering duties, including operating POS systems such as Micros POS.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
