Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, operating POS systems, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with strong skills in cashiering, food handling, and sanitation. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant setting where teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a courteous manner
  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and recipes
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
  • Manage transactions accurately using basic math skills and ensure proper cash handling procedures
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen stations, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
  • Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to meet health regulations
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
  • Kitchen experience or prior serving experience is advantageous
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
