Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Georgetown, ON, for a Transport Safety and Compliance Manager. The manager will oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety compliance standards within the transport division, develop and implement training programs for staff, conduct accident investigations to identify root causes and recommend prevention strategies, and uphold Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. They will collaborate with stakeholders to monitor and improve processes for transportation safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Regulatory Compliance and Safety Compliance standards in the transportation industry
  • Proficiency in Training and development for safety and operational procedures
  • Experienced in Accident Investigation processes to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Knowledge in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols and practices
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a leadership role and collaborate with diverse teams on-site
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Safety Management, Transportation, or a related field is an asset
  • Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry with a focus on safety and compliance is preferred
  • Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations is an advantage
