Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across our facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment. This role is essential in supporting our operations and ensuring a positive experience for staff and visitors alike. Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is a plus, especially familiarity with food handling, food safety, and kitchen sanitation practices.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of dining areas, kitchens, and food preparation zones
- Sanitize surfaces, equipment, and utensils in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including meal prep and serving support
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, and storage areas to ensure a hygienic environment
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Restock supplies such as cleaning products, paper goods, and utensils to support daily operations
- Follow health and safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Good organizational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive cleaning motions
- Reliable attendance record and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all staff and customers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
