Position Title: Business Process Analyst

Line of Business: TPS

Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months contract with possible extension/conversion

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Working Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 3-4 days per week in office)

Interview Process:

Role Overview

The focus for this role is on
Process experience.
A true
Process-focused Analyst
(not a traditional BA) with 3–5 years of process mapping, optimization, and documentation experience, capable of running workshops and driving business transformation.

Role Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

  • Analyze process models as they are (
    As-Is
    ), compare them to the future and improved designs (
    To-Be
    ), and determine the necessary changes for arriving at the improved state.
  • Design business processes (
    To-Be
    ) and manage any subsequent changes to them.
  • Identify, document, and analyze business rules that govern the implementation of business processes.
  • Test and execute processes to ensure that the right results are achieved.
  • Examine processes holistically to understand the impact of changing them on people, strategy, existing software applications, and general business operations.
  • Collate feedback on process performance — the collected data forms the basis of future process improvement projects.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of processes.
  • Perform analysis to detect inefficiencies within the scope of a given workflow.
  • Utilize spreadsheet software, flow-charting tools, and various business process analysis tools.

Must Have Skills:

  • 3–5 years of
    process consulting/engineering experience
    (not just BA experience which is mostly technical).
  • Strong
    leadership skills
    — demonstrated ability to run workshops.
  • Ability to
    write procedures
    (mandatory), analyze, and understand
    process mapping
    as a method of visualizing ongoing processes.
  • Ability to
    analyze information
    from customers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of
    business process analysis methods
    and skills to find ways to help clients achieve their goals.
