Our busy, independent, female-owned dental clinic is looking for a receptionist to join our growing team This is a non-corporate, solo-dentist office where we value teamwork and patient care.

The receptionist plays an essential role in keeping our front desk organized and ensuring every patient has a positive experience. We are looking for someone with at least one year of dental reception experience in a Canadian office who is confident with Cleardent, understands insurance billing, and is proactive with recall and patient follow-ups.

Flexible schedule: 2 to 4 days per week

Available workdays: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and create a welcoming environment
  • Answer phone calls and manage appointment scheduling
  • Handle recall bookings and follow-up calls
  • Update and maintain electronic patient records
  • Verify insurance and process direct billing
  • Manage AR, collections, and payment processing
  • Provide patients with clear financial information
  • Assist lead admin with administrative duties
  • Keep the reception area clean and organized

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Canadian dental office
  • Proficiency with Cleardent software is a strong asset
  • Strong skills in recall scheduling, insurance processing, direct billing, and AR
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
  • Ability to handle multi-line phone systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
