In this role you will be:
- Accountable for ensuring that DTC facility operations run efficiently and effectively to meet the sales and customer service requirements of the assigned Brands.
- Drive initiatives and ensure overall business objectives and goals are met including setup and management of a pick/pack environment supporting e-commerce growth
- Act as liaison representing the operations department to all other departments.
- Responsible for tracking and meeting required Service Level Agreements (SLA's) for all given agreements
- Establish staffing, resource and budget requirements through short and long-term planning
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all warehouse functions including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Coach and develop management teams to meet/exceed organizational and personal goals
- Ensure work force is trained to meet the work demands of the distribution center
- Manage client relationships and ensure SLA's and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Responsible for all aspects of performance management, staffing, training and development of their assigned workforce
- Oversee effective use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure data integrity for inventory control and reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with transportation, customer service, and account management teams to deliver seamless 3PL solutions.
- Lead change management efforts to support business growth, technology adoption, and client onboarding.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process optimization, cost reduction, and service excellence.
The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:
- University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline
- Must have 7+ years of experience in a DTC fulfillment operation environment
- eCommerce and/or purchasing experience would be a definite asset preferably related furniture or fashion retail environment with high volume inbound and outbound flows and last mile delivery to end customers
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, projection management, interpersonal, communication, organizational, relationship-building, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage large teams and multiple shifts
- Deep understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, and client service requirements
- Manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast pace work environment
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders as well as build and develop strong partnerships
- Self-starter and a track record of implementing and driving process improvements and achieving operational excellence
- Proficiency with WMS, ERP systems, and data-driven decision-making
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management
- Proficient in MS Office
