Regular Part-Time Childcare Assistants

The Children's Therapy & Family Resource Centre has 4 openings for regular, part-time Childcare Assistants in Supported Child Development in Kamloops.

These positions are 25 hours per week, working 9:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Applicants MUST have own vehicle and a valid BC drivers license as these positions require travel to/from different daycare locations in the city.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Training in early childhood development (ECE -Early Childhood Education Certification) or equivalent - NOT ECEA.
  • A minimum of one year work experience with children, particularly children with additional support needs.
  • First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain upon hiring (job requirement).
  • Criminal record check required upon hiring.
  • Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle - no public transit as you will be working at different daycare locations on a regular basis.
  • Must be available weekdays Monday to Friday, no weekends
  • Salary: starting at $27.91/hr
  • Extended Health Benefits following probationary period
