POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages the quality functions of a program to meet customer's expectations. Coordinate advance quality planning including Control Plans, FMEA's, audit/inspection details, and sample submissions. Monitor, report and improve customer satisfaction performance. Develop machine and product capability studies. Implement and maintain plant wide quality systems. Coordinate the Company's problem solving response to external non-conformances, internal non-conformances and assist with supplier concerns. Work on process improvement to ensure the Company's quality targets are met.

Skills and Qualifications

Education: Completion of university degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 3 years of previous experience working in a similar capacity (Quality Assurance or Process Engineering) within a manufacturing or automotive industry. Technical Skill requirements include the ability to read and understand blue prints, practical experience with GD&T, Advanced SPC, design of gauging, processing FMEA's and IATF16949 awareness and understanding.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate the Company's problem solving activities and respond to externally and internally generated non-conformances. This includes the disposition of suspected material, analyzing non-conformances, investigating root causes and initiating team meetings to implement corrective actions and to prevent non-conformances.

  2. Work on process improvement to ensure that the Company's quality targets are met.

  3. Participate in quality planning / improvement activities.

  4. Access customer's portals application as assigned by the departmental manager to perform the job function duties as per HR Form F

  5. Responsible for the supplier development function, with assistance from Hanon Corporate, including supplier's PPAPs, DMNs & corrective actions and overall supplier's performance.

  6. Work with Manufacturing Engineers in the plant to maintain process FMEAs.

  7. Initiate and work on assigned Continuous Improvement Projects.

  8. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with day-to-day plant issues.

  9. Visit customers and suppliers from time to time as it becomes necessary.

  10. Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
