Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Associate Director of Admissions, a pivotal role responsible for guiding prospective students through the entire admissions process with enthusiasm, clarity, and professionalism. In this role, you will develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies, foster strong relationships with prospective students and their families, and collaborate closely with academic departments to ensure a seamless transition from application to enrollment. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and excitement about our institution's offerings, helping us attract diverse and talented students who will thrive in our vibrant community. Must have domestic enrolment experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive recruitment plans to attract prospective students across multiple channels, including campus visits, virtual events, and outreach campaigns. This role is for a CLOSER and for domestic students
  • Oversee the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry through application review, interviews, and final decision-making, ensuring a positive experience for all applicants.
  • Conduct engaging public speaking presentations at college fairs, community events, and informational sessions to promote the institution's programs and values.
  • Utilize Ellucian or similar student information systems to manage applicant data efficiently, track communication history, and generate reports for strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to align recruitment efforts with program offerings and institutional goals.
  • Build strong relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and educational partners to expand outreach efforts.
  • Supervise and mentor admissions staff and student ambassadors to ensure high-quality service delivery and consistent messaging.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of higher education trends, admission policies, and best practices in recruiting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Support university initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion by actively recruiting underrepresented student populations.
  • Represent the institution at public speaking engagements, webinars, and campus tours to showcase our programs passionately and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in education administration or university admissions with a demonstrated ability to recruit diverse student populations effectively.
  • Strong public speaking skills with experience presenting at large events or community outreach activities.
  • Familiarity with Ellucian or comparable student information systems for managing applicant data.
  • Experience working directly with students from various backgrounds, demonstrating empathy and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of higher education policies, university operations, and enrollment management strategies.
  • Ability to lead teams confidently while fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence in service delivery.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
