Position Summary

As a Dealer Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing our banner network and optimizing the performance of existing merchants. This role combines business development, relationship management, and operational coaching to ensure our dealer partners deliver exceptional service and meet banner standards. You'll serve as both a recruiter and a trusted advisor, helping independent dealers and banner stores strengthen their business while driving growth and competitiveness for North Country Tire.

Key Responsibilities

Network Development:

·      Identify growth opportunities in targeted areas and recruit new dealer partners.

·      Negotiate contracts and oversee integration of new dealers into the network.

·      Support the opening and deployment of new points of sale in collaboration with internal teams.

·      Recommend dealer upgrades to more prestigious banners (e.g., Point S, V1, Otobox).

·      Build and maintain strong relationships with internal Territory Managers.

Network Operations Management:

·      Oversee and support existing dealers to ensure compliance with service, quality, and branding standards.

·      Implement operational processes and training programs to maximize dealer performance.

·      Conduct a minimum of two dealer visits annually to all partners in territory.

·      Organize and facilitate training sessions in sales, management, customer service, and product knowledge.

·      Act as the primary point of contact for dealers, providing proactive support and issue resolution.

·      Deploy sales, marketing, and promotional programs tailored to market needs.

·      Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust strategies to maximize dealer engagement and performance.

·      Establish specific performance goals with each dealer and report results to leadership.

·      Develop initiatives to diversify dealer activities and enhance competitiveness.

Skills and Qualifications

·      3–5 years of dealer development, business development, or sales management experience (tire/automotive industry preferred).

·      Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.

·      Proven ability to analyze performance metrics and implement growth strategies.

·      Experience facilitating training and supporting dealer/retail operations.

·      Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to travel within assigned territory.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

·      Valid driver's license required.
