Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and dirt to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including freight documentation and delivery logs.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the dump truck as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (Class 1) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with automotive repair techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
