Position Overview:

2R Trucking LTD is seeking an experienced Class 1 Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience operating dump trucks and be proficient in driving manual transmissionvehicles. This position involves long-distance travel across British Columbia, and prior experience with long hauls is preferred. Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a manual transmission dump truck, transporting materials across various locations throughout British Columbia.
  • Ensure the truck is loaded, secured, and delivered to designated sites.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel regarding delivery status and any delays.
  • Assist with unloading at delivery sites, when required.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating dump trucks.
  • Manual transmission experience is REQUIRED—you must be comfortable operating a manual dump truck.
  • Long-distance driving experience is preferred, as the position involves travel across various regions in British Columbia.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and assist with loading/unloading when necessary.

Compensation:

Wage ranges from $30 to $36 per hour, based on experience. Benefits package available after the probationary period.
