Fernie Stanford Resort is a family-owned and operated hotel located in beautiful Fernie, BC. We offer a positive, supportive, and team-oriented work environment and are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our operations.

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and engaged hospitality professional with a minimum of 5 years of hotel management experience. The General Manager will oversee all hotel departments, drive revenue growth, control costs, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Sales, and Accounting
  • Ensure excellent guest service and maintain high quality standards in cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, RMS controls, and room inventory management
  • Maximize revenue and profitability through budgeting, forecasting, labor control, and expense management
  • Participate in sales, marketing, and community relationship development
  • Prepare and monitor annual business and marketing plans
  • Ensure compliance with Provincial Labour Standards, WCB, and Occupational Health & Safety
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding invoices
  • Train, motivate, and develop team members
  • Perform Front Desk duties when required

Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years of hotel management experience

· Strong knowledge of Front Office PMS software, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales & Marketing

· Financial planning and budgeting experience (asset)

· Knowledge of BC Labour Standards, WCB, and OHS regulations

· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

· Diploma or Degree in Hospitality (asset)

· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
