Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, computer hardware, and telecommunication infrastructure. The Low Voltage Technician will work closely with project managers and other technical staff to ensure the successful deployment of security, communication, and automation systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication networks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform electrical wiring, conduit bending, and equipment mounting.
- Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper operation of low voltage infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate low voltage components seamlessly.
- Document installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience with electrical systems, including knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, computer networking, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to conduit installation and equipment mounting.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, pliers, and power tools like drills.
- Strong understanding of low voltage wiring standards and safety protocols.
- Ability to read technical schematics and construction drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Prior experience working in construction or similar environments is preferred.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
