Our team is growing, and we are looking for a skilled Field Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Field Engineer at Canada Techs, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining Security Cameras, Access Control, and IT Infrastructure. This position involves hands-on work with networks, routers, switches, and cabling systems including Cat5e and Cat6. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-voltage installation, with a proven track record of success in field deployments and troubleshooting.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Install security hardware, computer hardware, and structured cabling
- Work outside and indoors
- Work on ladders and scissor lifts
- Work in active construction zones
- Support Security Cameras, Access Control, IT Infrastructure and Enterphones
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in low-voltage, specifically with Security Cameras, Access Control, and IT Infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and networking hardware
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have own vehicle
- Must have own tools, and ladder
- Ability to work independently and prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines
- Must pass a background check
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must currently live in Vancouver or Lower Mainland. Other areas outside of this will not be considered
- Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive to customer locations in Vancouver or Lower Mainland
