About GoBolt
Our Mission:
At GoBolt, we provide a technology-driven, customer-centric and sustainable approach to ecommerce and last-mile logistics for businesses of all sizes – from local brands to large national retailers. By operating as an extension of our customer's team, we deliver best-in-class services every step of the way.
We're building North America's largest electric vehicle fleet to help bring sustainability to an industry notorious for its heavy impact on the environment. We are in high growth mode and building for the future, which is where you come in
We are on the lookout for a skilled, operationally minded, Senior Data Analyst. This role will play a critical role in building and owning dashboards, metrics, and data models to support our operations and account management teams.
You will be responsible for deeply understanding our core metrics and ensuring we have actionable and insightful dashboards and data models to support our business. This includes dashboard development, data modelling, data cleanup, and ad-hoc analysis and reporting. This role will work very closely with our operations team.
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves):
- 4+ years of experience in a data analyst, analytics engineer, or similar role with a proven track record of delivering business impact.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with dbt for building, testing, and deploying modular and version-controlled data transformations.
- Strong proficiency with Looker, including building performant dashboards and writing clean, maintainable LookML.
- Solid experience with a cloud data warehouse, preferably Google BigQuery. (Experience with AWS Redshift, Snowflake, etc. is also valuable).
- Proficiency with Git for collaborative, version-controlled development workflows.
- A strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices (e.g., dimensional modeling).
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset. You don't just identify data issues or business challenges; you take ownership, investigate the root cause, and actively contribute to building the solution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in e-commerce, operations, or logistics, with exposure to data related to inventory, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data analysis (e.g., Pandas), or API integrations.
- A genuine curiosity and willingness to go deep into our operations to understand the underlying processes that drive the data.
Why Us?
We are innovative, goal-oriented, and are always on the search for energetic and passionate people who are eager to learn and would like to have a rare opportunity to grow within one of the fastest growing scale ups in Canada.
Our team is full of talented and passionate individuals who enjoy working collaboratively within a competitive environment. We will provide you support from the get-go to help you realize your potential. We embrace all kinds of challenges head-on.
Aside from an amazing company culture, we also offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision plans for you and your family.
GoBolt is an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value and importance of a diverse workforce. We are committed to providing assistance during all phases of the employment cycle, including recruiting through to the end of the employment relationship. If you require accommodation because of injury, illness or disability during any portion of GoBolt's recruiting process, please let us know by contacting your recruiter point of contact, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
