Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Flat Roofer (Commercial/Industrial) to join our team at Capital Contractors Ltd. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in installing, repairing, and replacing a variety of flat roofing systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a professional crew. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality roofing solutions while contributing to our trusted reputation built over 20+ years in the Ottawa region.

Your Role

  • Work with the roofing crew to install, repair, and replace commercial/industrial flat roofing systems (torch‑on, single‑ply, and more)
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
  • Perform job site setup, cleanup, and material handling
  • Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to complete projects on time
  • Represent the company with professionalism on client sites
  • Participate in paid training and follow all company safety protocols
  • Enjoy company BBQs, outings, holiday parties and team activities

What We're Looking For

  • 3 years of flat roofing experience (preferred)
  • Valid WHMIS 2015 and Working at Heights certifications (required)
  • Skilled in torching and other flat roofing techniques
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Strong reliability, teamwork, and safety-first mindset
  • Experience in construction or mechanics is an asset

Schedule

  • Full-time & permanent (40 hours/week)
  • Monday to Friday (occasional flexibility)

  • Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • Flat Roofing: 3 years (preferred)
