Job Summary
Reporting to the Administrator, the Office Manager is responsible for organizing and
coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and
efficiency. The Lillooet Tribal Council requires a skilled individual with strong planning and
communications skills, and the ability to coordinate office administrative procedures and
implement new safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide support to staff of Lillooet Tribal Council.
• Attend and responsible for ensuring LTC Chiefs meeting minutes, motions, and related
documentation are produced and distributed in an orderly, accurate, and timely manner
• Attend Program Managers meetings, take minutes, and track action items.
• Draft letters, memos, and reports as needed. Also, support the writing of other
documents with proofreading, editing, etc.
• Collaborate with other LTC staff (such as the IT Manager, the Joint Occupational Health
and Safety Committee, and the Emergency Management Coordinator) to ensure LTC
facilities and office administrative procedures are current and effective.
• Ensure the office facilities are in compliance with safety regulations, such as local fire
codes, handicap access, other laws.
• Responsible for all office functions, this includes reception coverage, ordering of office
equipment, and office building maintenance.
• Coordinate and implement LTC-wide social events.
• Lead special projects as assigned.
• Lead the Office Manager's responsibilities described in the LTC Business Continuity Plan.
Education and Experience
• Administrative Assistant certificate or similar training.
• Minimum of 3 years' of experience in a recent office environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of St'át'imc culture/language and /or proven ability to
work with Aboriginal people.
• Knowledge of standard office procedures and experience in providing administrative
services for an organization, including records management.
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal, and listening.
• Efficient typing and experience taking minutes an asset.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications and computer equipment.
• Valid BC Drivers License and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: A competitive compensation package will be provided, including an attractive wage salary
range of $ $34.00 per hour based upon qualifications, experience, and skills set.
