The Opportunity
MyHR is a New Zealand business expanding into Canada with big ambitions, and we're looking for a Business Development Executive to join our successful and energetic solutions team.
In this hybrid role, you'll be working closely with our Business Development Manager to book meetings, convert both warm and cold leads, and achieve monthly quotas. You'll enjoy working in a mature sales function, leveraging your BD experience to achieve results.
You'll be generating your pipeline from outbound sources. You'll relish the opportunity to jump in and learn all about our product and services, and know how to strike the balance between perseverance and responsiveness with prospects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing an end-to-end BD process:
- Utilising Hubspot database and marketing-sourced leads to generate new sales opportunities
- Building long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
- Building and nurture outbound opportunities
- Setting up meetings or calls with (prospective) customers
- Identifying sales opportunities pain points, and tailor responses and proposals to fit
- Managing objections tactfully and accurately
- Closing deals
- Adopting Hubspot best practice methodology, including maintaining accurate and timely records
- Tactfully seeking referrals from recently converted clients
- Identifing opportunities to refine our lead generation playbook
You are:
Confident and capable, you'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to think on the fly and effectively sell to a variety of prospects. Your structured approach to work complements your perseverance, and you understand the value of accurately documenting your activity and conversations.
Your sales experience means that you're skilled with the discovery and qualifying work that sets the good opportunities apart, and you know your way around digital platforms with the ability to pick up new tools and technologies. Finally, you'll be comfortable dealing with executives and business leaders at the decision-making table.
Our successful candidate will have:
- Experience with CRM software (Hubspot preferred but not required)
- A track record of delivering sales results
- Highly structured and organised with good process management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to engage and connect with a diverse range of people
- A drive for results and focus on doing what needs to get done
- Ability to learn on the fly, pick up new products and systems quickly, and adapt to new systems and processes
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to assess and prioritise workload
- A go-getter attitude and a growth mindset
- Aspirations and appetite for career development in B2B sales
