About the Role

Arctic Wolf Networks is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to help us revolutionize the way cybersecurity is delivered to businesses. You'll work on a passionate, collaborative team that builds cloud-based solutions to solve real-world security challenges faced by IT professionals. As a senior member of the team, you'll not only execute testing but also drive quality strategy, mentor others, and champion a culture of quality across the organization.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing with a proven track record in a senior or lead role

  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, exploratory, regression, automation)

  • Skilled in creating, auditing, and improving test plans, test reports and test cases

  • Comfortable with automated test infrastructure in a cloud environment

  • Experience writing automated test cases and tools in Python, Go, or equivalent

  • Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code technologies

  • Ability to identify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across engineering, product, and stakeholder teams

  • Thrives on solving technical challenges and automating manual processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead Quality Strategy & Execution

  • Define and oversee creation of comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test suites for projects

  • Ensure complete execution of test plans before release

  • Champion a transformation toward a quality-first mindset

  • Identify and implement tools and frameworks to enhance test execution and reporting

  • Test Planning & Coverage

  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to refine requirements and define acceptance criteria

  • Review and audit test plans, test cases, and test reports to identify areas for improvement

  • Actively monitor quality metrics and ensure projects meet or exceed established quality standards

  • Ensure test coverage includes both functional and non-functional testing

  • Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis

  • Lead bug triage meetings with stakeholders

  • Prioritize and manage defect backlogs in alignment with SLAs

  • Drive root cause analysis and preventive action for defects

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Guide engineers toward better testing practices and strategies

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for features developed by the team

  • Be the spokesperson for the customer perspective within development discussions

  • Established and maintained test automation coverage standards across projects

  • Drove measurable improvements in product quality and release confidence

  • Introduced new testing tools and practices that increased team efficiency and reduced defects in production

  • Mentored QA team members, raising the overall quality capability of the team
