About the Role
We are hiring a Manager of Technical Accounting & Assurance to lead year-end reviews, T2/T1 preparation, CRA audits, and technical month-end oversight.
This is a leadership role ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, problem-solving, and mentoring a team.
What You'll DoTechnical & Assurance
- Complete and review year-end working paper files
- Prepare T2 corporate returns and T1 personal returns
- Lead all CRA audits, reviews, and correspondence
- Review HST filings and ensure compliance
- Complete/approve technical month-end reviews across multiple clients
- Ensure financials are accurate, compliant, and ready for CFO-level analysis
Leadership & Team Development
- Coach junior and intermediate accountants
- Support technical problem-solving and cleanup work
- Promote standardized processes through Financial Cents workflow management
Client-Facing Responsibilities
- Join client meetings for technical accounting issues
- Provide clarity on month-end results, compliance, or CRA matters
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors (landscape, snow, irrigation, trades)
What You Bring
- 5+ years of public accounting firm experience
- 3+ years of working remote
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- T2, T1
- CRA audits
- Year-end working paper files
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Experience mentoring accountants
- Strong communication skills for client-facing conversations
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking
- Experience with contractor clients is an asset
