**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

We are looking for a Technical Manager to guide and assist our development teams as we rapidly scale our products and organization. Create is looking for talented individuals who love to tackle daily challenges while making a big impact in a collaborative and engaging environment. **WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
- Be accessible to team members for explanation and clarification of project goals, priorities, constraints, and to remove any blockers for the team
- Assist Product Owners to clarify technical requirements and acceptance criteria and ensure those are recorded and progress is reported
- Adjust scope, priority, and timing of deliverables in collaboration with the agile team, product management, and other stakeholders
- Ensure new work done conforms to established standards and meets design specification
- Lead cross-functional team on PI planning, sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and grooming product backlog
- Working with the Engineering Lead to manage technical debt and ensure timely delivery of projects
- Drive JIRA ticket issue resolution process, include triage, root cause analysis, countermeasure identification, verification, implementation, etc

**WHO YOU ARE**
- You possess solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval
- You are skilled in multiple functional or imperative programming languages
- You have strong communication skills - explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you (online or in-person)
- You enjoy contributing to technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions
- You are passionate about working with data, and an appreciator of music and the digital age of tech/entertainment

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams
- Experience with PHP within an MVC Framework (Laravel, Symfony) and Node.js (Javascript)
- Experience building and consuming APIs
- Proficiency in working with common database systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
- Experience designing databases and writing raw queries
- Experience designing and building microservices
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular 2+
- Active experience with front-end development in a production environment and solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JS and their interactions
- Familiarity with regression/acceptance testing
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (services such as BigQuery) and AWS (services like ElasticSearch)
- Experience with Postman (or related), Bitbucket and Jira
- Experience with Docker
