Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Red Seal Certified Chef to lead our Kitchen in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive hotel kitchen management experience, and a passion for food excellence. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and innovate menu offerings to delight our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional to showcase their expertise in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient team management and workflow
- Engage in food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards and consistency
- Develop and update menus that reflect current culinary trends while aligning with Hotel branding
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to optimize kitchen operations
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and serving standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management on operational improvements and customer service initiatives
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
- Strong knowledge of restaurant management practices, including inventory control and staff scheduling
- Familiarity with food industry standards, food safety protocols, and hospitality best practices
- Previous experience working in a hotel environment with a focus on high-quality cuisine and customer satisfaction
- Leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills to foster a positive team atmosphere
