The Township is seeking a Recreation Services Coordinator who will provide administrative support for the Recreation Services department including administration of campground / marina operations, sponsorship and advertising and, facility utilization for the Recreation Department. This position will also support Township Special Events and community groups that provide programming. A detailed job description is available on the Township website

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education or equivalent in a related field with 3 years related business, customer service or municipal experience. Candidates holding a Recreation and Leisure Services diploma or equivalent is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of recreation programming, services and events as well as experience working with and supporting volunteer organizations.

The person must possess strong and effective customer service skills, excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to write succinct reports. This person will be required to act as a Team Lead and direct the work of part-time/seasonal staff, while using initiative and good judgment in carrying out the duties of the position.

The present hourly wage rate for this position is $32.03 to $38.97 based on a 35-hour work week.
