Forklift Operator/Lumber Handler

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/Lumber Handler with 2+ years of lumber yard and forklift experience. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload lumber and building materials
  • Offload and load trucks, ensuring accuracy and proper material handling
  • Pick and stage lumber orders according to customer and production needs
  • Perform daily forklift and equipment safety checks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Assist with general yard duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of forklift and lumber handling experience
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs or more on a regular basis
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and forklift operation standards
  • Able to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday shifts as required)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
