Vancouver Specialty Cedar Products is a family owned and operated Value Added Lumber Remanufacturing facility located in Maple Ridge BC just off Lougheed Highway.

Currently looking for a Forklift Driver to join our team with experience in shipping

Wage negotiable depending on experience

MUST be a team player willing to help out where ever needed.

From unloading/trucks and containers, to pulling lists for production or shipping, to loading kilns, to organizing the yard.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate MUST be paperwork oriented and organized, they will be responsible for operating 15,000 LBS counterbalance forklift. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Operate counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the site.
  • Perform order picking/staging tasks and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Stage Containers and Domestic Containers (Vans)
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve inventory yard organization and utilization.
  • Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and order verification.
  • Back up/learn Loading Freight

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a lumber yard setting.
  • Familiarity with order picking processes is preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
  • A valid forklift operator certification is preferred.

Experience:

2+ years Driving in a Lumber Mill or Reman Facility

2+ years handling materials up to 20' long

Please note transit to our location is not an option – must own a

vehicle or have a ride here.

After reaching 3 months employment you will receive 100% employer paid benefits.

Gloves, safety vests, and other safety gear are provided to employees.

Hours are Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00 PM - Saturday work is also a

possibility.

Self Starters and putting effort in are keys to success.
