POSITION OVERVIEW

The clientseeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join their team at their Edmonton office and warehouse. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maximizing sales within Edmonton and surrounding areas, focusing on both developing new accounts and nurturing existing customer relationships. This position requires strong industry knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 4 years of experience in a customer service/sales role, preferably in industrial/mechanical products.

· College Diploma in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering Technologist (CET), or related field.

· Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints is an asset.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills,

· Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications.

· Willingness to travel daily and occasionally overnight, including international travel as required.

· Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers through field visits, industry events, and proactive communication.

· Resolve customer issues and coordinate with internal teams (inside sales, credit, warehouse) as needed.

· Implement follow-up strategies for ongoing projects and customer needs.

· Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets while providing accurate sales forecasts.

· Provide exceptional customer service, including quoting, dispute resolution, and proactive communication.

· Identify and acquire new customer accounts through targeted prospecting efforts.

· Monitor client creditworthiness and report irregularities to the credit department and Regional Manager.

· Participate in trade shows and special sales functions to promote company products.

· Assist with order processing and provide support on the order desk as required.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and industry trends.
