Your Mission
As an Accounting Clerk you will be supporting the integrity and accuracy of Reliable Control's financial operations through dependable accounting and administrative support. This role contributes to high-quality financial processes, strong internal partnerships, and continuous improvement by working collaboratively and upholding our commitment to honesty, accuracy, and teamwork.
This is a 14-month fixed-term contract position to provide maternity leave coverage.
In This Role You Will
- Perform general accounting and financial administration duties to support day-to-day business operations
- Maintain accurate, well-organized, and confidential financial records in accordance with internal controls and best practices
- Respond to internal and external inquiries and assist in resolving financial or billing-related issues in a professional and timely manner
- Support month-end and period-end close activities, including preparing reports and completing reconciliations
- Collaborate with team members to support accounting and finance operations, including cross-coverage and shared responsibilities
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
This role might be right for you if you have:
- 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting-related role
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and database-related functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A professional demeanor with excellent customer service abilities
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and multitask
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
You'll be successful in this position if you have:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience using Microsoft Great Plains or another ERP system
- Accounts Receivable experience
- A working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
