Green Works Contracting is a multi-service landscaping and design company in the nation's capital focused on providing quality landscaping and friendly, hands-on service. We are currently seeking an experienced 310T, Truck Fleet & Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our amazing team

Scope of Work:

  • Perform repair and maintenance on heavy equipment (loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid steers), trailers, and medium/heavy duty trucks (1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 5 ton, tri-axle dump truck and tandem dump truck).
  • Diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform heavy equipment repairs and maintenance tasks of various degrees.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and identify any potential issues or malfunctions
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 310T, preferred.
  • Ability to weld and perform metal fabrication tasks, preferred.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician.
  • Experience with Electrical and Hydraulic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid class G driver's licence with clean driving record.
  • Able to operate heavy experience, preferred.
  • DZ/AZ would be an asset, but not required.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Day shift (8:00am - 5:00pm).
  • Overnight positions also available
  • Full time - Year round.

Notes:

  • Must be able to commute to office and shop near Hawthorne Rd and Leitrim Rd.
