Rafat General Contractor Inc. operates a massive and diverse fleet serving infrastructure, roadwork, and snow operations across the GTA. We're currently hiring a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic / Diesel Technician to support our busy King City maintenance shop. (Truck and Trailer Technician)

About the Role

You'll work hands-on with a wide variety of heavy-duty and on-road equipment — everything from dump trucks and roll-offs to hydrovacs, sweepers, and snowplows. If you take pride in keeping machines running smoothly and solving mechanical challenges, this position offers stability, variety, and long-term growth.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct scheduled services, brake and suspension work, and perform safety inspections.
  • Troubleshoot emission, DEF, and pneumatic systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify performance issues.
  • Complete repair orders and maintain accurate service documentation.
  • Work safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with MTO standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Truck Mechanic, Diesel Technician, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and air brake systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • 310T Truck & Coach License preferred (apprentices and unlicensed techs with experience welcome to apply).
  • Valid driver's license (DZ/AZ an asset).
  • Self-motivated team player with attention to detail.
