Gazer Monitoring Inc. provides proactive remote video monitoring solutions for businesses across Canada. We're looking for a
Network Administrator
experienced in networking and video management systems (VMS) to manage and optimize our remote monitoring infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

  • Configure and maintain routers, modems, firewalls, and VPN tunnels (MikroTik experience preferred).
  • Set up and manage
    Video Management Systems (VMS)
    — including user permissions, storage paths, and camera integrations.
  • Manage connectivity between client sites, IP cameras, and monitoring centers.
  • Implement endpoint protection and maintain network-level cybersecurity.
  • Configure VLANs, static IPs, and bandwidth optimization for remote video streams.
  • Ensure reliable, low-latency connectivity for live monitoring.
  • Maintain network documentation, device inventory, and configuration records.

What You Bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with routers, switches, and VPN configurations (WireGuard, IPsec, or OpenVPN).
  • Working knowledge of
    VMS platforms
    (DW Spectrum, Nx Witness, Uniview, or similar).
  • Familiarity with
    endpoint protection tools
    and cybersecurity practices.
  • Solid grasp of VLANs, routing, and network segmentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation habits.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with network monitoring tools (Prometheus, Zabbix, or Nagios).
  • Knowledge of WAN bonding, failover, or high-availability setups.
  • Scripting or automation experience (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
