Insight Global is hiring an Integration Developer to support a major insurance client on a hybrid 6‑month contract (high chance of extension) out of either
Calgary or Toronto.
This role is central to two ongoing proof‑of‑concept (PoC) initiatives focused on integrating third‑party cyber risk assessment tools into core enterprise systems.

You'll design integration logic, validate vendor APIs, build connectivity with internal platforms, and document technical decisions that will directly influence long‑term architecture and vendor selection. This is a highly impactful role within the client's modernization roadmap.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement API integration logic for multiple PoC initiatives.
  • Integrate third‑party cyber assessment tools with
    Guidewire PolicyCenter
    and CyberHub.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for vendor APIs, connectivity, and data validation.
  • Document integration flows, mapping logic, and high-level architecture decisions.
  • Configure and process JSON/XML payloads; ensure outputs align with business rules.
  • Support sandbox integrations, troubleshooting, and secure coding practices.
  • Help assess vendor feasibility and influence long-term integration strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years
    of software development experience.
  • 6+ years
    as a Java Developer.
  • 6+ years
    of API integration experience.
  • Experience designing UML diagrams or data flow documentation.
  • Proven API integration experience with
    REST
    and SOAP.
  • Strong understanding of
    OAuth 2.0, JWT, or SAML
    (proficiency in at least one required).
  • Hands-on programming in
    Java
    ; experience an asset.
  • Expertise with
    JSON, XML
    , and data mapping/transformation.
  • Kubernetes experience
    with RedHat OpenShift, AKS, or EKS.
  • Proficiency with
    Postman
    ; SoapUI considered an asset.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with cloud deployment on
    AWS or Azure
    .
  • Experience integrating APIs with
    Guidewire PolicyCenter
    .
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps fundamentals.
  • Understanding of secure coding standards (OWASP Top 10).
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Experience with secure integrations involving third‑party vendors.
  • Insurance or Guidewire ecosystem exposure (PolicyCenter, Jutro UI).
  • Certifications in cloud, integration, or security.
