Who Are You?
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for customer service, accounts receivable, and credit administration for all Weldco-Beales sites. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the role will maintain accurate customer accounts, ensure timely collection of payments, and support the finance team with various tasks. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for performing invoicing and CC reconciliation.
What Will You Do?
Customer Service
- Maintains good customer relations
- Responds to customer inquiries promptly and efficiently
- Investigates and solves clerical accounting problems related to accounts
- Conducts follow up with customers if necessary
Accounts Receivable
- Calculates, codes, and processes documents related to accounts such as invoices, credit memos, account statements, and others
- Enters cash receipts daily to update accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Reconciles the accounts receivable sub-ledger to general ledger accounts
- Researches and processes charge backs, returned checks, and returned products
- Traces source and corrects customer accounts for errors in billing rates, misapplied credits, or identifying information, such as name and address change received from customer
- Reconciles customer statements and reports discrepancies and problems with accounts
- Sets up liens on customers when applicable
Credit Administration
- Conducts credit investigations and collects delinquent accounts of customers
- Investigates and verifies the financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit
- Prepares documents to substantiate findings
- Recommends rejection or approval of applications
Clerical Support
- Performs related clerical duties or special projects
- Performs filing and maintenance of record systems
- Reception relief, when necessary

Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Diploma in Business, Accounting, or Bookkeeping
Experience
- Required: Minimum 3 years of directly related experience
- Preferred: 5 years of directly related experience
Certifications / Licenses
- Business Administration diploma preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAOs)
- Strong understanding of financial documents and accounting procedures
- Knowledge of contract law, manufacturing industry practices, and basic economics
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient computer and data-entry abilities
- Strong English communication skills
- Effective interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and time-management skills
- High attention to detail, strong work ethics, and adherence to company policies
- Ability to follow instructions, work methodically, and use sound judgment
