Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced regulatory compliance professional ready to leverage their deep industry expertise in a client-facing role to sell VantEdge's regulatory compliance SaaS platform – "Conformii". This unique position combines your regulatory knowledge with business development, helping energy companies solve
their most complex compliance challenges through our Conformii platform.
You'll work closely with our Sales, Solution Engineering, and Customer Success teams to identify prospects, build relationships, and demonstrate how Conformii addresses real-world regulatory pain points you've experienced firsthand.
What We're Looking For
• A regulatory expert with deep knowledge of Canadian energy compliance frameworks who wants to help other organizations solve the challenges you've navigated in your career.
• Proven regulatory experience in energy, mining, or utilities with hands-on knowledge of compliance workflows, reporting requirements, and regulatory relationships.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders across regulatory, IT, legal, and operations functions.
• A collaborative professional who thrives working with cross-functional teams and enjoys building relationships with industry peers.
• Business curiosity and interest in transitioning regulatory expertise into a client development role with sales training and support provided.
• Bonus: Existing network in the energy industry and experience with compliance technology implementations.
You're ready to become the bridge between regulatory complexity and practical solutions—bringing credibility, insight, and industry knowledge to every client conversation.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and engage prospects within your regulatory network and industry connections
• Educate potential clients on regulatory compliance challenges and solution opportunities
• Collaborate with prospects across regulatory compliance, IT, legal, and operations functions
• Work with Solution Engineering to demonstrate how Conformii addresses specific regulatory workflows
• Leverage expertise with Canadian regulators to build client credibility
• Deliver consultative value by connecting compliance pain points to platform capabilities
• Support Sales team with regulatory expertise during complex sales cycles
• Maintain client relationship records and opportunity tracking via CRM
• Stay current with regulatory changes, industry trends, and compliance best practices
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years regulatory compliance, health & safety, and/or environmental risk management within the Canadian or US energy industries
• Working knowledge of Canadian energy regulations and agencies - hands-on experience preferred
• Strong understanding of regulatory workflows and compliance operational challenges
• Ability to engage consultatively and educate multiple stakeholders in complex
regulatory environments
• Post-Secondary Degree in relevant field (Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, etc.)
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with CRM software and MS Office (training provided as needed)
• High degree of professionalism and ethical approach
• Interest in business development and willingness to learn sales methodologies
Nice-to-Have
• Prior experience with compliance management software or technology implementations
• Background in compliance auditing, environmental consulting, or regulatory affairs
• Experience training or educating others on regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with oil and gas operations, mining, logistics, or terminal operations
• Previous client-facing or consulting experience
