Our client is a leading food production facility dedicated to delivering high-quality products and are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Millwright to ensure the smooth operation of their mechanical equipment and systems.  Are you mechanically inclined with experience working in an industrial setting?   This could be the opportunity that you have been waiting for

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical equipment in the facility
  • Perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks as required
  • Trouble shoot and repair of general equipment, mechanical and electrical
  • Provide general maintenance support to food processing machines, conveyors, etc.
  • Manage all control systems in the plant, utilizing thorough knowledge of processing and packaging systems.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working in a general maintenance role, manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Certified as a Journeyman Millwright is required.
  • Experience with maintenance and/or repair of similar industrial commercial facility.
  • Experience with welding and machining and proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of PMC programs or other preventative maintenance software.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and comply with Company policies, Health and Safety legislation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and environmental standards.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis, standing for duration of shift.
  • Willingness to work as part of a 2 person team.
  • Self-motivated, able to work with a sense of urgency within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have own tools, toolbox, and safety shoes in good repair
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts, overtime, and rotating shifts as required
