The ideal candidate is familiar with ENMAX and Fortis distribution power networks and efficient, independent, resourceful and self-motivated.

Duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing underground electrical distribution systems.
  • Installing and terminating pad-mount transformers and switch gear.
  • Installing pullboxes
  • Installing street lighting systems
  • Taking Enmax and Fortis hold-offs, booking on and off with control centres.
  • Pulling cable through ENMAX's downtown Network manhole and TV vault system.
  • Underground cable splicing
  • Climbing poles and ladders
  • Operating bucket and digger trucks

Requirements:

  • Journeyman or Red Seal Powerline Certificate
  • Class 3 drivers license with air brakes
  • Bucket truck experience
  • Boom auger truck experience
