JM/ Apprentice Powerline Technician - (Remote Camp Job) Join Forbes Bros Group of Companies as a JM/ Apprentice Powerline Technician for a remote camp job in Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Powerline Technician – Transmission (full‑time permanent) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist under the Foreman with construction, maintenance, and repair of power systems across transmission and distribution lines. Location Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan. Remote camp accommodations. Project anticipated completion March 2026. Candidate must be located in Northern Saskatchewan and able to travel. What We Offer Competitive hourly wage Comprehensive health benefits Pension program enrollment Vacation pay & Stat Holiday pay Annual boot allowance of $250 and clothing allowance up to $900 Apprenticeship enrollment opportunity Family‑oriented working environment Career growth and development opportunities Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid. Troubleshoot and repair overhead distribution and transmission lines. Maintain interior, exterior, overhead, and underground electrical distribution systems. Install and maintain cables within power distribution systems. Implement safety policies, transport materials, install transmission systems, perform repairs, and lay underground cable in trenches. Assist in construction, maintenance, and removal of underground and overhead power lines and equipment. Adhere to Forbes Bros Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations. Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned. Assist with continuous improvement projects and other operational tasks. What We Are Looking For Journeyman Powerline Technician Trade Certificate or Apprenticeship Card. Minimum of three (3) years experience in the trade. Class 5 Driver's License required; Class 1 or Class 3 preferred. Strong knowledge of transmission construction systems. English proficiency and ability to read blueprints, work plans, and schematics. Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams. Ability and willingness to work at heights, climb structures, and perform manual labor in various conditions. Willingness to work overtime and weekend hours when required. Valid five (5) year Driver's Abstract acceptable.
