Job Summary

our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting functions, including data entry, journal entries, account reconciliation, and managing financial records using a variety of accounting software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in financial services and develop skills in bookkeeping, payroll, and account analysis within a dynamic organization.

Duties

  • Enter and maintain financial data accurately using accounting softwares
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
  • JOURNAL ENTRIES
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions and supporting documents
  • Collaborate with team members on month-end closing activities and other financial tasks

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Experience with journal entries, account reconciliation and account analysis
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately for budgeting and financial analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within the finance team
  • Basic understanding of financial services industry standards and practices

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
