About the Company

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Insurance Broker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients understand their insurance needs and providing them with suitable options to protect their assets and manage risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as they can better serve our diverse clientele.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients understand their insurance needs and providing them with suitable options to protect their assets and manage risks.

Responsibilities

  • Assess clients' insurance needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify the best insurance products available.
  • Assist clients with the application process and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding their policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new products to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Engage in outside sales activities, including networking events and community outreach, to expand the client base.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in insurance sales or related fields such as retail sales or telemarketing.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is preferred, enhancing communication with a wider range of clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing client accounts efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn about new insurance products and services.
  • Familiarity with sales administration processes is an advantage.

Required Skills

  • RIBO licensed.
  • Proficient knowledge of Commercial Lines or Personal Lines is considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal guidance.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and building relationships with COIs.

Pay range and compensation package

Commission Based Structure – commissions on new business and renewals. Earnings can translate into the following:

  • 1st Year: $60K to $80K
  • 2nd Year: $85K to $120K
  • 3rd Year: $125K to $180K+
