We consult, liaise, and provide logistics solutions for companies to move and transport products throughout the world. Through leading by example, inspiring innovation, achieving together and customer satisfaction, Canaan Group has grown to become one of the largest privately owned logistic companies in Canada.

Summary

Canaan Group is seeking a Senior Documentation Lead to help launch our newly created Fractional AI Documentation Division—an initiative focused on transforming how export-import paperwork is produced, verified, and shared. In this role, you will play a key part in designing clear, repeatable workflows that simplify regulatory requirements and support automation. • Ensure full compliance with Canadian and U.S. trade regulations
  • Design, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve speed, accuracy, and consistency
  • Pilot, test, and scale our new fractional-AI tooling alongside the Project Cargo & Systems Manager
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management to a small documentation team
  • Serve as the primary documentation liaison between operations teams and clients, ensuring documentation meets expectations and timelines
  • Monitor changes in trade compliance and adjust internal procedures accordingly

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in document management within the logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and optimize SOPs
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. compliance requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
